چکیده
Aitolo-Akarnania prefecture, western Greece, is an area with strong earthquakes and large active fault systems. The most, the second half of 20th century was characterized for world community by aggravation environmental problem. Anthropogenic pollution environment growth industrial agricultural production, cities, size population, volume their consumption clearly indicates that on brink abyss. destruction forests, water bodies, degradation soil, flora fauna, emergence new diseases shows if urgent drastic measures are not taken to save environment, life future generations problematic. In Russia, as in other countries world, amount solid household waste has been sharply increasing lately. Therefore, processing disposal becoming increasingly problem requires adoption complex solutions. At same time, overcrowded smoking landfills, well formed unauthorized landfills main sources pollution. Landfills municipal only cause epidemiological hazard, but due anaerobic decomposition organic waste, causing formation explosive biogas, become a powerful source biological Biogas generated at MSW process toxic effect living organisms, contributes outbreak fires, unpleasant odors. This must be solved introducing degassing system already stage operation. proposed landfill aimed reducing negative impact biogas environment. Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091706 Full Text: PDF

The contaminants in the landfill leachate press pose a grave threat to environment of the soil and the groundwater beneath the landfill. Despite there being strict requirements in relevant provisions of both domestic and foreign countries for the design of the bottom liner system. Pollution of the soil and the groundwater still took place in a number of landfills because of the leakage. To inve...
متن کاملPreliminary Observations from Robot-enabled Surface Methane Concentration Monitoring at a MSW Landfill
The use of robots for surface methane concentration (SMC) monitoring at municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills has the potential to improve quality of data acquisition for fugitive methane measurement over current practices. Methane concentrations vary significantly, both spatially and temporally, across a MSW landfill. However, current monitoring methods do not necessarily account for these sig...

متن کاملModelling the Potential Biogas Productivity Range from a MSW Landfill for Its Sustainable Exploitation
A model of biogas generation was modified and applied to the case of a sanitary landfill in Italy. The modifications considered the role of the temperature field normally established within each layer of waste. It must be pointed out the temperature affects the anaerobic biodegradation kinetics. In order to assess the effect of moisture on the waste biodegradation rate, on the bacteria process ...
